lifeaquatic: I’m gonna show some 10 Things I Hate About You clips in class tomorrow. Not sure yet which ones. Whichever ones are the most Shakespearean, I guess? Which, off the top of my head, I can’t remember. Also maybe some She’s the Man because I taught middle school when that shit came out and I got to fully appreciate it with its target audience. And my students who are now college freshman and sophomores would have been in middle school when that movie came out. Also some Mel Gibson Hamlet, paired with the scene from Clueless where Cher talks about “that Polonius guy.”  And a healthy dose of 1996 Romeo and Juliet, the scene where Tybalt and Mercutio fight.  Teaching is fun as hell, you guys.
